As Director, Store Design and Planning at Lafayette 148, I designed and planned this boutique, coordinated with the local architect and permit expediter, and planned procurement with outside vendors. Shown here as built.

Plaster niche
I designed a custom plaster niche for the main focal wall with its finish matching a table at the front of the boutique, creating a visual connection throughout the space.
Floating shelves have rear lighting to graze the plaster and front lighting to highlight the merchandise.

Perimeter rails
I redesigned the perimeter rails to anchor to the floor and wall, removing the need for a structural plate beneath the floor. This reduced installation time and cost while keeping the original design intact.
My drawings became the basis for the fixture supplier’s shop drawings and fabrication.
